The Jewish Songbirds of Tin Pan Alley
A Trio from Maxwell Street Klezmer Band takes your audience on a musical journey through the brilliant songs of Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen, and George and Ira Gershwin, to name a few. An original one-hour program, The Jewish Songbirds of Tin Pan Alley illustrates through narrative and song how the Jewish roots of these composers influenced their haunting and soulful melodies, and how their inspiration contributed to the American Songbook.
