Come celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Junior Klezmer Orchestra, an ensemble of young musicians dedicated to learning klezmer and Yiddish music. Alumni of the Junior Klezmer Orchestra will be coming from across the country for a joyous musical reunion.

​

With mentorship from Maxwell Street Klezmer Band, these Middle and High School musicians carry on the traditional music of the shtetls of Eastern Europe. From rollicking freylechs (dances) to Bei Mir Bistu Sheyn and songs from the Yiddish theater, these young musicians share the "joy of klez." Ian Weinberger, Musical Director of Hamilton on Broadway, will play and share his love of this group.
